We are continuing on our November theme to make little tidbits of art to share kindness and thoughtfulness with others. It is so wonderful to be able to come together, share thoughts and ideas, and allow creativity to just blossom. Especially in the moment.
As we have talked before, Occupational Therapy uses art as a tool to reach a goal. Purposeful activity for so many. This is an opportunity to work on so many skills. Fine motor, gross motor, cognitive skills, problem solving skills, purposeful task completion and the process of working together! Look at what we might consider a simple task, and just take a moment and just let that sink in to all what this task can accomplish.
We work on taking turns with all the tools and materials, let the individuals problem solve how they will complete a task.

Letting others teach in making creative use of alternative tools such as a painted leaves found in the yard. Inexpensive tools are just wonderful.
And who doesn't like to embellish your art with bubble wrap as a
stamp with paint!
A leaf shaped kindness card....how fun. Collaged paper cut out and used to make these wonderful little tidbits of art. A special note created with letter stamps. Cut out hearts from leftover collage paper.
I think we made over 50 of them!! Can't wait to share or suprise others with these little and special cards.
