🌿 Wednesday Wisdom 🌿
I am SO new to this method of art, called intuitive painting. I really am working on just noticing, and giving myself the time to pause to just look. I don’t always see the full picture right away. It begins with colors and shapes, and only when I pause do I notice what’s truly there. This is actually funny…..I often see the big picture, but have difficulty with the details. Thinking about this, I can start the creative process, in the big picture way, but maybe I don’t have the confidence to allow myself, in the artistic process to “see” the details, and honor that thought. No worries or expectations. Just how it is meant to be.
Memories with my twin Paula come the same way—small details surface, reminding me of the bigger picture of our story together.
Caregiving is much like this. It’s not about rushing to finish or making things perfect. It’s about noticing the little moments: a glance, a smile, the way someone chooses a color. These details tell the story of connection and belonging.
✨ Wisdom for today: Slow down. Notice what’s in front of you. Trust that the little moments—layer by layer—create something beautiful.
💭 Reflection for You:
What small detail have you noticed recently—either in your own life, or in the person you care for—that revealed a bigger picture or brought unexpected meaning?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and stories in the comments. Together, we can keep learning how to notice, honor, and celebrate the little moments that truly matter.
