Oops....I Lost Count

Oops....I Lost Count

Somewhere along the way, I lost count.

I have been participating in a 100-day challenge and faithfully marking each day on my calendar. At least I thought I was.

The other morning, I realized my numbers didn't match up.

Somehow, somewhere, I had gotten off track.

I laughed.

Because honestly, this is so me.

For a brief moment, I wondered how long I had been off. Then I made a new calendar, corrected the numbers, and moved on with my day.

The funny thing is that the challenge was never really about the numbers.

It was about showing up.

Each day, I have been sharing a small moment of inspiration, pulling a card, reflecting on a word, and allowing myself to be seen. Not as a polished version of myself, but as the real me.

The one who occasionally loses count.

The one who makes mistakes.

The one who sometimes has too many projects going at once.

The one who is still learning as she goes.

I think we spend a lot of time believing that progress should look neat and organized. We imagine straight lines, perfect plans, and flawless execution.

Real life rarely works that way.

Sometimes progress looks like crossing out a number and writing in the correct one.

Sometimes it looks like revising a chapter for the tenth time.

Sometimes it looks like changing direction after realizing a different path makes more sense.

Sometimes it simply looks like beginning again.

The older I get, the more I appreciate the ability to laugh at myself.

Not because mistakes don't matter, but because they are part of being human.

We are all figuring things out.

We all get mixed up.

We all lose our place from time to time.

The important part is not whether we make mistakes.

The important part is whether we keep going.

So if you've lost count of something lately, forgotten a step, made a mistake, or found yourself a little off track, you're in good company.

Take a breath.

Laugh if you can.

Adjust the calendar.

And keep going.

Progress doesn't require perfection.

It only requires participation.
