Hello my friends and followers.
Hope you all are having a great summer and making memories.
I am working on creating some fun and exciting activities. Have you been tuning in for the Make it Monday segments?? I have had fun sharing fun creative experiences with you. Hope you have learned a few strategies to modify, adapt and support others enjoy the process of creativity.
I sure would really like for you to share what struggles you are experiencing and what supports you are looking for! We can work on exploration, supports and person-centered purposeful activities together.
To give you some inspiration, let's look at what we have been working on lately.
Can't believe it is the end of July already.
You are not a skilled painter? No worries. Can you believe that this art on this container was created using napkins??
Another project that was created with napkins. This paver gave Pam some moments of frustration. But, we.....no ME needed to work on that patience skill.
We learned through talking with others, and then learning that there are many tools and materials to use depending on the surface that you are using. It is ok to struggle and take a pause after your first....and maybe the second try doesn't go the way you had hoped. Maybe not as fast as you hoped to complete. I sure think the final product turned out pretty good!!
Do you think we have enough rocks to keep us busy?? Ha! What should we paint on these?? There are so many ideas swirling around in my head.
Here is one that Pam created. Does it look like the beach to you?
Of course we celebrated Christmas in July. Creating cards using a gelli plate to make one of a kind papers. We used our imagination.
And, Pam had to make a fun goofy faced Christmas rock!!
Finding tools that support participation is always a goal of mine. Supporting those that have varied or limited hand skills. Pam is trialing this tool, and has been in conversation with the company that creates these. Can't wait to continue see how these can improve creativity.
We have one more Make it Monday in July. If the weather cooperates, we are going to have fun chalking a walk. Come watch Monday July 29 at 11am.
A reminder to everyone. Make it Monday segments will be moved to 10a starting the first Monday in August.
So, my friends, keep having fun and being creative!!!
